Dragon Vault is a special Pokémon TCG expansion released during the Black & White era that celebrates the mystique and power of Dragon-type Pokémon, drawing on the lore of Unova’s ancient legends where dragons symbolize balance, truth, and ideals. The set highlights iconic Dragon Pokémon such as Rayquaza, Dragonite, Salamence, and the Tao trio—Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem—emphasizing their legendary status and the sense of hidden treasure suggested by the “vault” theme. Mechanically, Dragon Vault showcases the unique traits of Dragon-type cards at the time, which often required multiple types of Energy to attack, reflecting their complexity and strength in battle.
