EX Legend Maker
set, released in 2006 during the EX Series of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, is themed around the mysterious power of Mew and the idea of hidden legends influencing the Pokémon world. Drawing inspiration from the Hoenn region and the concept of ancient myths, the set highlights Mew as a central, mystical figure capable of connecting with many other Pokémon through its DNA and unique abilities. A major gameplay feature of the set is the introduction of δ (Delta) Species Pokémon, which are unusual versions of familiar Pokémon that have different types than normal, representing genetic or environmental anomalies discovered by the fictional Holon researchers.
