Introduction

Greetings, Pokémon community!

Ascended Heroes, the first special set in the Mega Evolution block, will be released on January 30th, 2026 (in the West). More notably, it will bring us more Mega Pokémon that appeared in Legends Z-A.

We'll also get new meta cards and support for existing mechanics like Trainer Partners. N will also be featured in this set.

Without further ado, let's go!

Ascended Heroes: Context

Image content of the Website

This special set is a combination of several small Japanese sets:

1) Mega Dream ex ( “ハイクラスパック MEGAドリームex“) (released on November 28th, 2025)

2) Start Deck 100 Battle Collection (“スタートデッキ100 バトルコレクション“) (released on December 19th, 2025)

3) Start Deck 100 Battle Collection - CoroCiào Ver. (“スタートデッキ100 バトルコレクション コロちゃおVer.“) (also released on December 19th, 2025)

Many of these sets included reprints from previous Scarlet & Violet sets, like Journey Together, Destined Rivals, and Black Bolt/White Flare, which were different in Japan. In the West, however, these sets were reviewed and adapted with totally new cards. We'll discuss them later on.
