Tyranitar UL 88 would fit well in a Dark-type deck that focuses on spreading damage and utilizing discard strategies, as its Darkness Howl can chip away at both players' Pokémon while its Megaton Tail offers a strong single-hit option at the cost of deck thinning. However, there are arguably better options in the current meta, such as Gardevoir (from the same era) which can provide consistent energy acceleration and draw power, making it more versatile in many situations. While Tyranitar can definitely see play, especially in casual formats or specific strategies, its effectiveness may be limited compared to more synergistic or powerful alternatives.
