A deck focused on utilizing Darkness Energy and spreading damage to the opponent's Bench would benefit from including Darkrai-EX DEX 63. Its Night Spear attack can apply pressure on multiple Pokémon at once, and its Dark Cloak Ability provides free retreat options for all Darkness Energy attached Pokémon. However, in the current meta, other Pokémon-EX cards with more powerful attacks and abilities may be preferred over Darkrai-EX DEX 63, such as Yveltal-EX with its versatile Oblivion Wing attack. Darkrai-EX DEX 63 could see play in a budget or theme deck, but may not be a top choice in competitive play.
