This Venusaur ex RG 112 card would benefit a Grass-type deck that focuses on status conditions and energy manipulation. While its Energy Trans ability can be useful for energy acceleration, its attack costs are a bit high for the damage output. Better alternatives like Shaymin ex (EX Ruby & Sapphire 93) with its setup ability or Sceptile ex (EX Ruby & Sapphire 96) with its powerful attacks might be more effective choices in competitive play, making Venusaur ex RG 112 less likely to see play in top-tier decks.
