“Countdown Calendar Promos” is a special Pokémon TCG promotional set designed as a day-by-day reveal experience, where Trainers uncover a new card each day leading up to a major in-universe celebration, such as the Pokémon League World Festival. The lore centers on a grand countdown event hosted by Professor Oak and regional Champions, who send out commemorative Pokémon and items to Trainers worldwide to prepare them for the ultimate battle gathering. Each card in the set is stamped with a numbered emblem from 1 to 25 and features festive, starry artwork showing Pokémon delivering gifts, training together, or preparing arenas. Mechanically, the set introduces the Countdown Ability, which activates bonus effects based on how many differently numbered Countdown cards are in play or in the discard pile, encouraging players to build progressive strategies as the “days” advance.
