According to a recent report, The Pokémon Company, once again partnering with McDonald’s, is preparing to distribute Pokémon TCG card giveaways celebrating the TCG’s 30th anniversary in November 2026.Earlier this year, in mid-February (more specifically, on February 13), the promotion was timed to coincide with “Pokémon Month,” which celebrates the anniversary of the franchise as a whole. However, for reasons that have not been explained, the campaign was quietly shelved without any prior notice of its cancellation and was largely forgotten.The launch of the TCG’s special 30th Anniversary collection, however, on 16/09/2026 has revived plans to resume the partnership and make up for the promotion that never materialized in February 2026.The collection is expected to reach Western markets in November and remain available from November 5 to December 9, 2026.1) For now, no definitive card list has been announced, with only a few theories circulating:- The collection may follow the concept used for the franchise’s “25th anniversary,” focusing on the starter Pokémon.- It may feature cards that do not directly match the “anniversary” theme, making it “just another collection,” as happened with the 2024 release from 2024.2) The announcement may end up making the same mistake as it did earlier this year: a “release promise” that ultimately never comes to fruition.3) These theories concern Western markets, and there is still no information about the distribution of these products in Brazil, if it happens at all.See you next time.
