Introduction
The next set in the Mega Evolution block is Chaos Rising.
This time, the main star will be Mega Greninja, which was also featured in Legends Z-A. Fans really welcomed this news, as it's the first time we see a Mega Greninja since we got Ash's Mega Greninja in the animated series.
This is the fourth base set in this block and should come out on May 22nd, 2026.
So, without further ado, let's go!
About Chaos Rising

This Western set is an adaptation of the Japanese set Ninja Spinner, which was released on March 13th, 2026. As we mentioned before, it will come out now, in late May.

Chaos Rising: New Cards - Review
This set focuses on Mega Evolution ex, just like the last set. The difference between these new versions and the old X/Y versions is that the new cards don't need Spiritual Link to evolve. This means you can evolve your Pokémon as usual without giving up your attack turn.
To make this mechanic balanced, all Mega Evolutions give the opponent 3 Prize cards when they're knocked out, similar to Pokémon TAG TEAM-GX, Pokémon VMax, and Pokémon VUnion.
Pre-Release Cards

Delphox

Stage 2 Pokémon. It evolves from Braixen.
Ability: Flaring Magic. Once during your turn, you can discard 1 basic Fire energy from your hand to draw until you have 7 cards in hand.
Attack: Energized Storm (F)(F). This attack deals 30 damage for each energy attached to your Pokémon.
Ampharos

Ability: Synchro Pulse. If you have the same amount of cards as your opponent, this Pokémon deals 80 extra damage to their active Pokémon (before applying weakness and resistance).

Supporters

From left to right:
AZ's Tranquility: Move your active Pokémon to your bench. If that Pokémon is a Pokémon ex, heal it by 80 HP.
Roxie's Performance: During your opponent's next turn, their Poisoned Pokémon can't retreat (that applies to any new Pokémon you Poison).
Philipe: Get up to two basic Metal energies from your deck and attach them to one of your Metal Pokémon in play.
Emma: Your opponent reveals their hand. Next, you'll draw 1 card for each Pokémon you find there.
Items

From left to right:
Great Haul Net: You can pick one or both effects below.
1) Get up to 3 Water Pokémon in your discard pile and shuffle them back into your deck.
2) Get up to 3 basic Water energies in your discard pile and shuffle them back into your deck.
Special Red Card: You can only play this card if the opponent has 3 Prize cards left or less. If so, they'll shuffle their own hand, put their cards at the bottom of their deck, and then only draw 3 cards.
Transformation Tome: You can only play this card if you use 2 copies of it at the same time. If so, you may pick a basic Pokémon in your discard pile and swap it for a basic Pokémon in play. That new Pokémon keeps all energies (basic or special), tools, damage counters, attack effects, and special conditions from the previous Pokémon.
Tool

Adversity Policy: If the Pokémon this tool is attached to is weak against the opponent's active Pokémon, whenever they take damage from an attack (even if it's knocked out), put 3 damage counters on the attacking Pokémon.
Stadiums

From left to right:
Prism Tower: Once during each player's turn, they can discard 2 cards from their hand to draw a card.
Ange Floette: You can only play this card if you have a Prism Tower in play. You can put it in play in the same turn you played Prism Tower.
All Mega Floette ex in play (yours and the opponent's) now have 150 extra HP.
Special Energies

From left to right:
Nitro (F) Energy: You can only attach this energy to Fire Pokémon, and it only gives them Fire energies. If this card ends up discarded by an attack effect on a Fire Pokémon, it returns to your hand instead of going to the discard pile (after resolving damage and effects).
Bubble (W) Energy: You can only attach this energy to Water Pokémon, and it only gives them Water energies. The Pokémon that has this energy attached heals all special conditions and is immune to new special conditions.
