Introduction

A rogue Lokix PFL 10 list made it to the top 16 of a City League tournament on October 7th, 2025. So, as we just got Phantasmal Flames, I thought to myself, how can we use this Pokémon in Expanded?

Eventually I got the idea to lean on the fact that Lokix is a Stage 1 Pokémon and add some Eevees from the X&Y block because their abilities work really well with it. These abilities will make Lokix a Water Pokémon, a Fire Pokémon, or an Electric Pokémon and allow you to deal more damage to Pokémon that are vulnerable to these types of Pokémon.

So, without further ado, let's see how this strategy works!

Lokix + Eeveelutions in Expanded

Deck Structure

Lokix: Main Attacker

The idea behind this Pokémon is simple: use its second attack, Jumping Shot, to deal 150 damage and return this Pokémon and all cards attached to it to your deck. Like so, you'll recycle all of these cards and protect your Pokémon at the same time.

To use this attack, you'll use Ignition Energy WHT 86, which gives you (C)(C)(C).

Main Combo

To deal more damage to Pokémon that are vulnerable to Grass Pokémon (3 times as much), you'll use Supereffective Glasses ASR 152. This includes Fighting Pokémon and Darkness Pokémon. Like so, Lokix PFL 10 will deal 450 damage to these Pokémon!

These Pokémon all share the same ability. When you use it, you'll make your Stage 1 Pokémon Water Pokémon (Vaporeon), Fire Pokémon (Flareon), and Electric Pokémon (Jolteon) in addition to all their other types.

Like so, the Lokix PFL 10 / Supereffective Glasses ASR 152 combo will deal 450 damage to Pokémon that are vulnerable to these types of Pokémon.

Grass Pokémon will take three times as much damage if you use Flareon AOR 13's ability on Lokix PFL 10.

Fire Pokémon will take three times as much damage if you use Vaporeon AOR 22's ability on Lokix PFL 10.

Water Pokémon will take three times as much damage if you use Jolteon AOR 26's ability on Lokix PFL 10.

Mew UNB 76's ability protects the bench from "sniper" damage in particular. You'll use it to protect your Nymble sv2 19 and other baby Pokémon.

Don't mix up "sniper" damage with "spread" damage. Mew UNB 76 protects your bench from Pokémon like Greninja ex TWM 106, Kyogre SHF 21, Mega Starmie ex POR 21, and Greninja VUnion, for instance. But it won't protect them from Pokémon that deal "spread" damage, like Dragapult ex PRE 73.

Snorlax PGO 55's ability, Block, is a way to "stall" the game. If you use it when this Pokémon is in your active spot, you'll prevent the opponent from retreating their active Pokémon.

It is essential, particularly after you use Lokix PFL 10's Jumping Shot and return it and all cards attached to it to your deck. In this case, you'll have to put another Pokémon in your active spot, and this Snorlax is perfect.

When you set up another Lokix PFL 10 on your bench, you can use Latias ex SSP 76's ability to swap these Pokémon and create a loop.

Wobbuffet PHF 36's ability, Bide Barricade, is also a way to stall the game. You can use it when this Pokémon is in your active spot. If so, you will disable all abilities in play, including on the board, in your or your opponent's hand, and both discard piles. The only Pokémon that won't be affected by this ability will be Psychic Pokémon.

This Wobbuffet will disable recursive rule box Pokémon on the enemy board. Please note that only your Latias ex SSP 76 and Mew UNB 76 will be immune to this ability because they're Psychic Pokémon. Be careful with your Bibarel BRS 121 and your Eeveelutions because Wobbuffet will affect them.

Bidoof CRZ 111 and Bibarel BRS 121 play different roles: Bidoof's ability, Carefree Countenance, protects it from "sniper" damage while it is on your bench, and Bibarel's ability, Industrious Incisors, draws up to 5 cards for you.

Latias ex SSP 76's ability, Skyliner, lets you retreat your basic Pokémon for free. So, with it, you'll be able to move your Snorlax PGO 55 from the active spot and put a Lokix PFL 10 in its place.

Guzma & Hala CEC 193 has two effects: the first one lets you look for a Stadium in your deck and put it in your hand, and the second lets you look for a Stadium, a Tool, and a special energy and put them in your hand, but you'll have to discard 2 cards from your hand as well.

Arven sv3 186 lets you filter one Item and one Tool from your deck and put them in your hand.

Iono sv2 185 will sabotage the opponent's hand and renew yours. You'll each shuffle your cards into the bottom of your decks and then draw new cards according to how many Prize cards each of you still has left.

Guzma BUS 115 pulls Pokémon into the active spot. You should use it to pull a specific Pokémon on the opponent's bench, something you want to knock out, for instance, and then also put a new Pokémon into your active spot.

Ultra Ball BRS 150 lets you look for any Pokémon (basic or evolution) if you discard 2 cards in your hand.

Battle VIP Pass FST 225 lets you look at two basic Pokémon in your deck and put them directly on your bench. But you can only use this card on your first turn. Afterward, it is useless.

Later on, you can discard it with cards like Secret Box TWM 163, Ultra Ball BRS 150, and Guzma & Hala CEC 193.

Items to Swap Cards

This card will fix any issues you may have with your Prize card pile.

Items to Recycle Cards In General

Loading icon

VS Seeker PHF 109 is the most important card in this group because it will let you recycle 1 Supporter in your discard pile and put it in your hand.

Special Charge STS 105 will let you recycle up to 2 special energies in your discard pile and put them back in your deck.

Sacred Ash DRI 168 lets you recycle up to 5 Pokémon in your discard pile and put them back in your deck.

Tools

Supereffective Glasses ASR 152 will triple the damage Lokix PFL 10 deals.

Float Stone PLF 99 will let you retreat the Pokémon it is attached to for free, whether that's Wobbuffet PHF 36 or Snorlax PGO 55 in emergencies, or Bibarel BRS 121.

Stadiums

Loading icon

Forest of Vitality MEG 117 lets you evolve a Grass Pokémon directly, that is, it lets you evolve a basic Pokémon you just put in play. But you can't use this Stadium on your first turn or the opponent's first turn.

It's a great way to evolve Nymble sv2 19 into Lokix PFL 10.

Artazon sv2 171 will help you set up basic "baby" Pokémon on your bench.

Secret Box is considered an Item. To use it, you have to discard 3 cards from your hand. Then, you'll be able to get 1 Supporter, 1 Item, 1 Tool, and 1 Stadium.

Suggestions

Loading icon

You can replace Secret Box for Computer Search BCR 137, which lets you get any card you want from your deck if you also discard 2 cards from your hand.

Special Energy

Loading icon

Ignition Energy only works on evolution Pokémon, but it does give you (C).

After you attack, you'll have to discard it.

But, as you'll use Lokix PFL 10's attack effect before the turn ends, you'll actually recycle this energy back into your deck.

Final Words

This deck is a bit experimental and polarizing. You might take a long time to fully set up, create the loop with Lokix PFL 10, and lock the opponent down with Snorlax PGO 55. But, when you finally manage to set it all up, it works really well.

If you'd like to remove Bidoof CRZ 111 and Bibarel BRS 121 to open some space for cards like Mew ex sv3pt5 151, it's not a bad idea. But keep in mind this is another rule box Pokémon that might end up in your Prize cards, and you'll draw less cards this way.
