Introduction

Several months ago, Phantasmal Flames gave us Mega Lopunny ex PFL 84, and a few months ago we showed you the list that won the Tokyo City Leaguelink outside website with it. So, as I was intrigued by this Pokémon, I thought, why not do the same thing as we did in this Lokix PFL 10 articlelink outside website and use the X/Y Eeveelutions with Mega Lopunny as well?

This way, we could use Flareon AOR 13, Vaporeon AOR 22, and Jolteon AOR 26 to change Mega Lopunny ex PFL 84's type and take advantage of several weaknesses at once.

Because Mega Lopunny ex PFL 84 is a stage 1 Pokémon, it can take advantage of all these Eeveelutions.

Colorless archetypes are usually vulnerable because they can't counterattack with weakness damage, but this strategy solves that issue.

So, let's see how this would work with Mega Lopunny ex!

Decklist

Mega Lopunny ex: Main Attacker

Loading icon

Its main attack, Gale Thrust, deals extra damage when you move this Pokémon from your bench to the active spot. It deals 60 base damage + 170 extra damage if you do this, which totals 230 damage. The best of all is that it only costs one colorless energy!

Its second attack, Spiky Hooper, deals 150 damage and isn't affected by any effects on the opponent's active Pokémon. That is, if the opponent used any effect, like "in the following turn, evolution Pokémon can't deal damage", Mega Lopunny ex PFL 84 simply ignores that!

Combo To Deal More Damage

To deal more damage through weaknesses and triple the damage you'd normally deal to Pokémon that are weak to Water, Fire, or Electric Pokémon (considering you've already used your Eeveelutions), you can play Supereffective Glasses ASR 152. This tool triples the damage Mega Lopunny ex PFL 84 deals.

So, instead of dealing 230 damage with Gale Thrust, Mega Lopunny ex will deal 690 damage!

Instead of dealing 150 damage with Spiky Hooper, Mega Lopunny ex will deal 450 damage and also go over any effects on the opponent's active Pokémon!

These Pokémon all share the same ability. When you use it, you'll make your Stage 1 Pokémon Water Pokémon (Vaporeon), Fire Pokémon (Flareon), and Electric Pokémon (Jolteon) in addition to all their other types.

Like so, the Mega Lopunny ex PFL 84 / Supereffective Glasses ASR 152 combo will deal 450 damage to Pokémon that are vulnerable to these types of Pokémon.

Grass Pokémon will take three times as much damage if you use Flareon AOR 13's ability on Mega Lopunny ex PFL 84.

Fire Pokémon will take three times as much damage if you use Vaporeon AOR 22's ability on Mega Lopunny ex PFL 84.

Water Pokémon will take three times as much damage if you use Jolteon AOR 26's ability on Mega Lopunny ex PFL 84.

Other Baby Pokémon

This evolution line plays certain roles.

Dunsparce FST 207's ability, Mysterious Nest, makes all colorless Pokémon in play have no weakness. With it in play, you won't have to worry about Fighting Pokémon when you use Mega Lopunny ex PFL 84.

As for its evolution, Dudunsparce TEF 129, it stands out because of its ability: you can use it to draw 3 cards, and, if you do, return this Pokémon and all cards attached to it to your deck and shuffle it.

Budew PRE 4, in turn, sabotages the opponent, as its attack prevents them from using items.

Fan Rotom SCR 118, finally, does two things: it both supports the main strategy and can put a lot of pressure on the opponent. Its ability, Fan Call, lets you, in your first turn, look for 3 colorless Pokémon with up to 100 HP and put them in your hand.

This is an excellent way to get both Buneary PFL 83 and Eevee PRE 74.

You can, as we mentioned, use its attack to put pressure on the opponent as well. If there is a Stadium in play, this attack deals 70 damage, and this list plays Aspertia City Gym BCR 127.

Mew UNB 76's ability protects your benched Pokémon from "sniper" attacks. It will protect your entire setup, but most particularly your Buneary PFL 83.

Please note that "sniper" damage is different from "spread" damage. Mew UNB 76 is great against Pokémon like Greninja ex TWM 106, Kyogre SHF 21, Mega Starmie ex POR 21, and Greninja VUnion, for instance. But it won't be efficient against Dragapult ex PRE 73.

Lillie's Determination MEG 119 lets you shuffle your hand back into your deck and draw 6 new cards. If you have exactly 6 Prize cards left, you'll draw 8 cards instead of 6.

This card will get resources for you quite fast, particularly if you loop it with Dudunsparce TEF 129.

Boss's Orders MEG 114 pulls an enemy benched Pokémon to the active spot. You should use it to knock out a specific enemy Pokémon.

It's great with Mega Lopunny ex PFL 84's Spiky Hooper.

Guzma BUS 115 also pulls enemy benched Pokémon into the active spot, but you'll have to swap your Pokémon as well, and your opponent gets to pick their new active Pokémon.

It's great if you want to catch your opponent by surprise with Mega Lopunny ex PFL 84's Gale Thrust.

Items

Items to Get Pokémon

Ultra Ball BRS 150 lets you get any Pokémon (basic or evolution) from your deck if you discard 2 cards from your hand.

Buddy-Buddy Poffin TEF 144 lets you look for 2 basic Pokémon with up to 70 HP in your deck and put them on your bench.

Item to Filter Supporters

Loading icon

Pokégear 3.0 BLK 84 lets you look at the top 7 cards in your deck and get a Supporter from there.

You should use it to get Boss's Orders MEG 114 or Guzma BUS 115.

Item to Swap Cards

Loading icon

This item will give you access to any important card that is stuck in your Prize card pile.

You'll count how many Prize cards you have and put all of these cards at the bottom of your deck. Next, you'll get that same number of cards from the top of your deck and make them your new Prize cards.

Item to Pull Pokémon

Loading icon

You can use this item when you're losing the game to pull a benched enemy Pokémon into the active spot. It's similar to Boss's Orders MEG 114.

Items to Recycle Cards In General

Loading icon

VS Seeker PHF 109 is the most important card in this group because it lets you recycle 1 Supporter from your discard pile and put it in your hand.

Special Charge STS 105 lets you recycle up to 2 special energies in your discard pile back into your deck.

Sacred Ash DRI 168 lets you recycle up to 5 Pokémon in your discard pile back into your deck.

Tools

Supereffective Glasses ASR 152 will triple how much damage Mega Lopunny ex PFL 84 deals when it applies weakness.

Float Stone PLF 99 lets you retreat the Pokémon it is attached to for free. It's useful on Vaporeon AOR 22 and Flareon AOR 13.

Stadium

Loading icon

Aspertia City gives 20 HP to all colorless Pokémon in play.

As such, Mega Lopunny ex PFL 84 will have 350 HP instead of 330.

ACE SPEC

Loading icon

This ACE SPEC is considered an item. You can use it if you discard 3 cards from your hand, but, if so, you can look for 1 Supporter, 1 Item, 1 Tool, and 1 Stadium in your deck and put them in your hand.

Suggestions

Loading icon

You can replace Secret Box for Computer Search BCR 137, which lets you get any card you want from your deck (so it's broader) and only forces you to discard 2 cards from your hand.

Loading icon

Prime Catcher is similar to Guzma BUS 115.

Special Energies

Loading icon

Mist Energy TEF 161 protects the Pokémon it is attached to from enemy attack effects. This includes special conditions (Asleep, Confused, Paralyzed, Burnt, and Poisoned), so it's excellent on Mega Lopunny ex PFL 84.

Double Colorless Energy GRI 166 gives you two colorless energies at the same time, so it's enough for Mega Lopunny ex's Spiky Hooper.

Final Words

This deck is still a bit experimental, but it is worth a try.

Here are some other suggestions if you'd like to work on it:

There are many ways to move Mega Lopunny ex PFL 84 around, like Jet Energy SSP 252, so that you can use Gale Thrust a bit more often.

You can also use Switch (163 Secret Rare) PRC 163 and Escape Rope BUS 163.

Speaking of Pokémon that let you retreat cards for free, you can use Manaphy-EX BKP 32 (which uses Water energies) and Darkrai-EX LTR 88 (which uses Darkness energies).

The Darkness archetype is great with Mega Lopunny ex PFL 84, particularly Weavile-GX UNM 132 and Red & Blue CEC 202. You can use this Supporter to get Darkness energies from your deck and attach them to Weavile-GX UNM 132 so that you can use its ability, Shadow Connection, and move these energies to your Pokémon. You can even use Max Potion (121 Secret Rare) PLF 121 to heal Mega Lopunny ex PFL 84!
