This Houndoom AQ 14 card would benefit a Fire-type deck that focuses on disrupting the opponent's strategy with Smokescreen's coin flip effect and dealing decent damage with Burn Up. However, considering its weakness to Water-type Pokémon and the potential drawback of discarding Fire Energy cards, other Fire-type Pokémon cards like Volcanion or Reshiram & Charizard GX may be better options for competitive play due to their stronger attacks and abilities.
