While Skuntank V has decent attacks, there are stronger options like Dragapult VMAX or Galarian Weezing that can offer more consistent damage or disruptive effects. However, if the deck is built around exploiting the retreat mechanic effectively, Skuntank V can still see play, especially in a meta where retreating is common.
