Introduction
The Journey Together base set, which centers around "Trainer's Partner", brought back N, the iconic anti-hero from the Unova games, as well as many iconic Pokémon.
The most recent Unova special set, Black Bolt & White Flare, marked the end of the Scarlet & Violet block. So, we at Cards Realm decided to go over the most expensive N cards in the game, both the ones depicting him and the ones he shows up next to other Pokémon.
For this article, we're considering how much these cards cost in USD, but please note prices may vary. Like any market, the Pokémon TCG market changes daily.
The cards we'll list below are also in English. Without further ado, let's go!
Top 10 Most Expensive N Cards
10 - N's Darmanitan - Pre Release Version (Scarlet/Violet: Journey Together - Promo Cards - 181/???)

This card was given out in the "Pre Release" kit for this set. The illustration includes a special detail: the logo of its particular set, as shown in the image above.
Price: USD 20.
9 - N's Zoroark ex (Scarlet/Violet: Journey Together - Secret Illustration Art - 185/159)

This card was illustrated by Megumi Mizutani, a prominent artist who has worked for The Pokémon Company since Gen V. They created concept art for titles like Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire, Pokémon: Let's Go, and others.
This card lets you discard a card in your hand to draw two new ones. Its main attack can copy attacks on your Benched Pokémon as long as they're N Pokémon.
Price: USD 52.
8 - N's Plan (Scarlet/Violet: Black Bolt & White Flare - Secret Illustration Art - 170/086)

This card was released recently, in the last Scarlet & Violet's special set. N's Plan lets you move two energies from one of your Benched Pokémon to your active Pokémon, either basic or special energies.
It earned a spot in our list because it is highly coveted by collectors, particularly considering its effect isn't that efficient in our current format. We simply have better options to play, like Energy Switch.
Price: USD 75.
7 - Reshiram & Zekrom TAG TEAM-GX (Sun/Moon: Cosmic Eclipse - Regular Art - 157/236)

Once TAG TEAM cards became popular again (that is, when the community turned its attention to cards that feature Pokémon and their Trainers together), this card made it back into the spotlight. Before 2023, you could easily find it for very cheap.
In Sun & Moon's Standard format, this card wasn't relevant competitively because its main attack forces you to discard three energies attached to your Benched Pokémon. As such, it's a bit restrictive.
Price: USD 82.
6 - N's Zorua - Pokémon Center Logo (Scarlet/Violet: Journey Together - Promo Cards - 189/???)

This card was available in the special Pokémon Center ETB. It features their exclusive logo at the bottom right corner, like so:

It was also illustrated by Megumi Mizutani. The art itself complements N's Zoroark ex JTG 185, so it is very valuable for N and Zorua fans.
Price: USD 86.
5 - N's Resolve (Sun/Moon: Cosmic Eclipse - Full Art - 232/236)

This card was a way to attach energies to Reshiram & Zekrom-GX CEC 157. It lets you discard six cards from the top of your deck and attach any basic energies you find among these six cards to a Dragon Pokémon on your bench.
Because it is a bit risky and relies on luck, it wasn't very popular in competitive settings. It is still a coveted piece among collectors, though.
It was illustrated by Mana Ibe, who has worked for The Pokémon Company since Gen IV, that is, Pokémon Platinum.

Price: USD 150.
4 - N (X/Y: Fates Collide - Alternative Promo Art - 105a/124)

This card was extremely powerful in Standard in its time. Its effect forces both players to shuffle their hands back into their decks and then draw new cards based on how many Prize cards they have left.
It was originally released in the Black & White block and was so successful it was reprinted in X & Y, in the Fates Collide set. This reprint was once again illustrated by Megumi Mizutani.
Price: USD 155.
3 - N (Black/White: Noble Victories - Full Art - 101/101)

This was the first time N was featured in a "Full Art" card. It was illustrated by Ken Sugimori, one of the most iconic Pokémon artists of all time.
It does the same as its Fates Collide counterpart.
Price: USD 170.
2 - Reshiram & Zekrom TAG TEAM-GX (Sun/Moon: Cosmic Eclipse - Rainbow Full Art - 259/236)

This is the Rainbow Full Art version of Reshiram & Zekrom-GX CEC 222 and was illustrated by Naoki Saito.
Price: USD 175.
1 - Reshiram & Zekrom TAG TEAM-GX (Sun/Moon: Cosmic Eclipse - Full Art - 222/236)

This is the most expensive N card of all time. In it, N is depicted alongside the Unova Dragons, which represent the main values of the Pokémon philosophy: Truth x Ideals.
It was illustrated by Naoki Saito, who put the two Dragons behind N to show the duality that reigns over this character: his connection to Team Plasma, his internal dilemma over the role he plays in history, and his conflict with his adoptive father, Ghetsis.
If you know anything about Pokémon lore, particularly how these Unova Dragons came to be (the "conflict between kings and their heirs"), then you know how deep this artwork is, story-wise, and the whole symbolism around it.
Price: USD 400.
