Pokémon releases unique Pikachu Plushies: No two toys alike!

Earlier this week, a new line of Pikachu plushies was announced in Japan, called "My Pikachu Promotion". Though another Pikachu-plastered product is no surprise to any Pokémon fan, considering the popularity of this beloved little rat, this one is a very different product on all fronts. This line features unique Pikachu, meaning the one you buy will be your very own, unique Pikachu!

The news sprouted over on Twitter by an excited fan which spotted the coveted Pikachu plushies at a Pokémon Center in Japan. They're made from recycled plastic in honor of Earth Day, and each has different features: there are variations in ear and tail lengths, arm poses, feet sizes, electric pouches, eye and mouth expressions and even stuffing! So, as each individual toy has a variation of its own, this means there are hundreds of thousands of variations possible, which makes each unique.

In these Pokémon Centers, if you're an indecisive buyer, you can also get an employee to pick out a random Pikachu for you by calling out "Pikachu". The employee will place the selected plush inside a tree-themed cabinet, and present it to you. This tactic can capture the hearts of young Pokémon fans and veterans alike, for sure.

This promotion and line are currently exclusive to Japan, and have to be bought on site, but who knows? Maybe soon we'll have them available on the internet.

Fans even made charts and an ID indexing system for this campaign, so an archive can be built for all the different Pikachu plushie variants!
