It was officially launched by the Pokémon Company on the promotional boosters of licensed leagues, where there are cards in abundance with the Sword & Shield collection, taking iconic or most important cards from the collection, but with the difference of a Play Pokémon seal on the Pokémon border image.
On 10/24/2023, the list of cards was revealed.

What are the promotional cards like?
They come with a different type of holographic effect than standard base expansion cards and even some cards that did not have a "foil" effect (don't confuse Foil and Reverse Foil), citing an example with Professor's Research SHF 60, which receives this treatment in the card, with an example below:
