Hello everybody. I'm Rodrigo, bringing you news about the Pokémon TCG in general.

With the recent release of Scarlet & Violetlink outside website, there was a predominance of the electric archetype, being the third most famous deck in the Standard format, since its type hits the weakness of Lugia VSTAR SIT 139.

Today, let's get to know the Miraidon ex sv1 81 deck, which is accompanied by Pokémon like Regieleki VMAX SIT 58 that increase the damage of your basic Electric Pokémon, Raichu V BRS 45 with massive burst damage from electric energy discards and Raikou V BRS 48 as a fast support attacker.

Miraidon ex: main attacker and recursion

There's a downside here: if its attack is used, it can't attack again - but this can be fixed by retreating, it as every Pokémon when it goes to the Bench removes all the effects that are on it. As such, with only a tiny energy cost to retreat, it can take advantage of the Beach Court sv1 167 stadium, which guarantees a colorless energy cost to retreat basic Pokémon

In addition to being a great attacker, Miraidon is also a recursive Pokémon in pursuit of others, like a kind of two "Nest Ball" built into its ability, for Electric-types.

Regieleki V & Regieleki VMax: attacker and recursive damage buff

Regieleki V and VMAX

Here we enter an interesting point: what you must do is evolve your Regieleki V to Regieleki VMax to use its ability Transistor, where all your basic Pokémon gain 30 more damage against the opponent's Active Pokémon, and even with the benefit that this “buff” can be accumulated. That is, if you have two Regieleki VMax in play, you are already gaining an additional 60 damage.

This is applicable for Raikou V BRS 48, Raichu V BRS 45, Regieleki V SIT 57 and even Miraidon sv1 80!

Raikou V: fast early game striker

Raikou enters for being able to attack quickly with only two energies, and even with a draw ability in the mix, if it is an active Pokémon in your game. The ideal is to start the match by putting it as an active Pokémon.

Raichu V: explosive striker

Raichu comes in as a last resort to deal massive damage, something very situational where if there is a Pokémon VMax or a Pokémon ex that bypasses 300 HP, it can discard 6 energies to deal 360 damage, which is more than enough to knock them out.

Drapion V: the “counter” against Mew VMax

Drapion V serves to hit double damage on Mew VMAX LOR TG30, due to its weakness to the dark type. He is a necessity in a Metagame where Mew shows up often.

Recursive Pokémon

- Radiant Greninja ASR 46 comes in with Concealed Cards, where you discard an energy card from your hand to draw two cards.

- Flaaffy EVS 55 has Dynamotor, where in turns, you can take a basic Electric Energy from the discard pile and attach it to one of your Benched Pokémon.

Then, with the combo of Radiant Greninja's ability to discard energy to have "Draw Power", Flaaffy comes in with its ability to power up your Benched Pokémon.

Trainer Cards

- Professor's Research (Professor Turo) sv1 190 is used to discard your hand and draw 7 new cards for your hand.

- Serena SIT 164 is used to choose one of two options:

1) Discard up to 3 cards from your hand until you have 5 cards in total in the process.

2) Choose an opponent's Pokémon V and take it out of active position and bring it to active position, as if it were a kind of "Boss's Orders".

- Boss's Orders BRS 132 Pulls an opponent's Benched Pokémon into Active Position to close a specific Knockout.

- Nest Ball sv1 181 searches your deck for a Basic Pokémon and puts it directly on your Bench.

- Ultra Ball BRS 186 searches for any Pokémon in your deck, at the tribute of two cards from your hand.

- Level Ball BST 129 searches for Pokémon with 90 HP or less, reveals it to the opponent and puts it in your hand.

It's precisely to look for the Mareep EVS 54 and the Flaaffy EVS 55.

- Trekking Shoes ASR 156 looks at the top card of the deck, and you choose whether to keep it or discard it. If you choose the second option, you discard that card and draw the next top card.

- Electric Generator sv1 170 lets you look at the top 5 cards of your deck, and if you find any Basic Electric Energy, you can attach up to two Pokémon on your Bench.

- Energy Recycler BST 124 Recycles up to 5 basic energies from the discard pile into the deck.

- Switch Cart ASR 154 serves as a type of Switch for basic Pokémon, where if you play it, you heal the active Pokémon that will be switched by 30 HP.

- Escape Rope PLS 120 is a Pokémon trade between you and your opponent.

You switch one of your Active Pokémon to the Benched Pokémon to be the newly promoted one, and your opponent will do the same; however, you initiate this exchange and the opponent will choose their Pokémon in the process.

- Forest Seal Stone SIT 156 can only be equipped to Pokémon V. You can search your deck for any card and put it into your hand.

- Sky Seal Stone CRZ 143 can only be equipped to Basic Pokémon V. If it KOs a Pokémon VStar or VMax, it draws an extra Prize card.

Stadium

If that stadium is on the field, all of either player's basic Pokémon's retreat cost is reduced by a colorless energy.

Archetypes

Advantages

- Perfect against water archetype decks like Origin Forme Palkia VSTAR CRZ GG67.

- This deck is great for dealing double damage with any deck that has electrical weakness, like Lugia VSTAR SIT 139 and Flying Pikachu VMAX CEL 7.

- It has great energy fluidity and quick setup of Pokémon, without relying too much on Nest Ball.

Disadvantages

- Fighter archetype decks, like Koraidon ex sv1 125.

- Decks that has cards like Avery CRE 130, which can destroy your bench.

- Decks that have the stadium Path to the Peak CRE 148 that locks Pokémon abilities with Rule Box.

Conclusions

This is one of the format's favorite decks for its speed and card assembly, with Pokémon being summoned quickly in games. It also has great Trainers with energy acceleration like the Electric Generator, in addition to Flaaffy and even with constant damage increase with the Regieleki VMax.
