Introduction
In today's article, we'll explore Aggron VMax, an extremely versatile Pokémon. Its V form stands out because of its brutal attack that deals more damage if the active enemy Pokémon is damaged. Meanwhile, its VMax form is not only more aggressive, but also "mills" enemy cards, which can be crucial to win a few matches.
In this deck, we'll also use other Pokémon to put even more pressure on our opponent and also manage our resources better. They all have synergy with our other cards as well. This deck is consistent, resilient, and efficient in practically all moments of the game.

Deck Structure
Aggron V & Aggron VMax: The Main Attackers

Its base V form, Aggron V BRS 96, has two excellent attacks. The first one, Rock Slide, deals 90 damage to your opponent's active Pokémon and 30 damage to two of their benched Pokémon. The second attack, Merciless Strike, deals 150 damage, but, if the active enemy Pokémon has any damage counters, it deals 150 extra damage, so it deals, in total, 300 damage!

Its VMax form, Aggron VMAX BRS 97, stands out because of its attacks as well. Cracking Stomp deals 150 damage and forces your opponent to discard the top card in their deck. Max Take Down is a powerful attack that deals 270 damage, but also deals 50 damage to Aggron itself. This attack is perfect to knock out resilient Pokémon, like TAG TEAM Pokémon.
Synergy com Relicanth

Relicanth TEF 84 is great because its ability, Memory Dive, lets your evolved Pokémon use attacks from their previous evolutions. This means Aggron VMAX BRS 97 can use Aggron V BRS 96's attacks, like Merciless Strike, and so you won't need to use Max Take Down if you're worried about its recoil effect, for instance.
Zacian V & Zamazenta V: Hybrid, Support Attackers

Zacian V PR-SW SWSH018's ability, Intrepid Sword, both draws cards and lets you attach energies to your Pokémon. Furthermore, you can use Forest Seal Stone SIT 156 with it, and, this way, get any card in your deck with its VStar ability.

Zamazenta V CRZ 98's ability, Regal Stance, renews your hand, as it forces you to discard your current hand and then draw up to five cards. Its attack, Revenge Blast, is powerful in the endgame, as it deals more damage according to how many Prize cards your opponent took. Just like Zacian, you can also use Forest Seal Stone SIT 156 with it.
Recursive Pokémon

Magnezone UPR 83's ability, Magnetic Circuit, lets you move basic Metal energies from your hand to your Pokémon as much as you want.

Each Pokémon above plays a crucial, strategic part in this deck, from making your Pokémon immune to special conditions to drawing cards and recycling energies.

Item to Heal Your Pokémon

The best strategy for this card is to heal Aggron VMAX BRS 97 completely. It'll be as good as new, but you'll have to discard all energies attached to it. Though it may seem too costly, there is a combo that fixes this issue:
- First, heal Aggron VMAX BRS 97 with Max Potion completely.
- Then, use Superior Energy Retrieval PLF 103 to get back the energies you discarded with Max Potion.
- Finally, attach the energies to Aggron VMAX BRS 97 with Magnezone UPR 83, so it will be ready to attack fully healed.
This combo keeps Aggron VMAX BRS 97 in play as a big threat, even if it took a lot of damage.
Items to Recycle Resources

Tools

- Metal Frying Pan FLI 112a makes the Pokémon it is attached to take 30 less damage, and also makes it immune to Fire attacks.
- You can equip Forest Seal Stone SIT 156 to your Pokémon V and get any card you want from your deck with its VStar ability.
ACE SPEC

Stadium

Both players can use this Stadium to get up to one Basic Metal Energy SFA 99 from the discard pile and add it to their hand.
This is another way to recycle any energies you lost without playing a Superior Energy Retrieval PLF 103.
Matchups
Pros
This deck is excellent against Water Pokémon and TAG TEAM Pokémon with up to 270 HP. It also has answers to many archetypes, and is consistent at all moments of the game.
Cons
However, it is weak to Fire decks and Pokémon that block Pokémon V, GX, or ex damage. It also struggles against One Hit Kill strategies.
Final Words
This deck is accessible and fun, so it's perfect for anyone who wants to revisit Expanded and explore Aggron VMax's forgotten potential. Its synergies, strategic aggression, and all its resources make for exciting, dynamic matches.
