About the Deck
Today, we'll explore the most resilient Pokémon in Pokémon Pocket, Decidueye ex.
This archetype combines a lot of damage and a very resilient main Pokémon with a lot of HP, but it gave up consistency along the way. The result is a list that could potentially beat any matchup but that needs to draw the right cards.
If you enjoy powerful decks that are difficult to pilot but have great matchups, you came to the right place.
Decidueye ex - Main Strategy and Pros

Decidueye ex is a Stage 2 Pokémon, but it only needs 2 energies to attack, so it is relatively easy to set up.
Because this is a Grass deck, it plays Erika, which essentially gives any of your Pokémon an extra +100 HP as you play. With Lillie, your main Pokémon might have 220 extra HP during the game.
If you also use your heals well and Leaf Cape, your opponent will have to deal 330 damage to knock out your Decidueye ex. This usually means 4 to 5 strikes (depending on the match), which makes Decidueye ex the most resilient Pokémon in the entire game right now.
The main idea behind Decidueye ex is that it "hunts" damaged enemy Pokémon, as it deals 100 damage to them even if it is on your bench.
There aren't many trainers in the game we can play in this list. It centers entirely around evolving Decidueye ex as fast as possible. Decidueye ex's attack makes Sabrina and Cyrus a bit redundant in this list, and that's why it doesn't play them, even though they are the best cards in the game.
This is also one of the few Stage 2 lists that plays an extremely useful Stage 1 Pokémon, Dartrix. Dartrix is so great in this strategy that we play 2 copies of it.
Cons
This deck is extremely vulnerable to Cyrus and Sabrina, and that's the only reason it is not one of the best decks in the meta. There's nearly nothing you can do about these cards. The most you can do is discard energies to swap your Pokémon and use your heals to the best of your ability.
Once or twice, there won't be any damaged enemy Pokémon on the other side of the board, and you'll be forced to use Decidueye ex's second attack, which only deals 80 damage. That isn't a lot of damage for a Stage 2 Pokémon and could disrupt your game plan a little.
This list does play the most heals out of every other list in the meta as well as the most resilient Pokémon in the game, but that's it. Those are your only ways to protect yourself. You can't disrupt or disable the opponent's strategy at all. You can only attack and heal.
Tips and Tricks
The secret to this list is knowing how to heal. The best way to do that is to heal only a single Pokémon instead of trying to heal several at the same time. Let your opponent knock out your benched Pokémon or any Pokémon you haven't set up, and make sure your Decidueye ex is safe and has a lot of HP.
Once Decidueye ex is ready, you don't need to put other Pokémon on your bench. This will only give your opponent an opening to use Sabrina or Cyrus.
Use Decidueye A3a - 005 only in emergencies, that is, if everything goes wrong and you can't draw any Pokémon ex.
If you don't enjoy playing Decidueye A3a - 005 as a second alternative win condition, you can bring a second Pokémon Communication or a Mars, or even a Red Card.
This list essentially forces you to use Rowlet as a frontline Pokémon early on. Try to use it to deal damage to enemy benched Pokémon, and do the same with Dartrix.
Dartrix is often incredibly useful, but if you can use Rare Candy to skip the evolution line, always do.
Play Erika before Lillie. Erika is better early on, while Lillie is more effective later because she needs to target a Stage 2 Pokémon.
Use Pokémon Communication on your Decidueye A3a - 005 or any Rowlet you have left in your hand.
Avoid playing two Rowlets on your board early on.
