Deck Review
The Problem with Mewtwo
Among the released League Battle Decks, this one is the weakest, since Team Rocket's Mewtwo ex DRI 81 has a limiting attack that only requires discarding two energies from any of your Benched Pokémon, capped at 280 damage. That’s not enough to knock out many of the new Pokémon ex from Scarlet & Violet, and it certainly won’t be enough against the upcoming Mega Pokémon ex in the next block.
Suggestions for deck changes and improvements
Retreat Cost of Spidops
Another issue with the deck’s mechanics is Team Rocket's Spidops DRI 20, which often becomes an easy target due to its heavy retreat cost of two energies.
The solution is to add the tool Air Balloon BLK 79 to remove the retreat cost for Team Rocket's Spidops DRI 20.
Boosting Mewtwo ex’s Damage
Another suggestion is to help increase the damage output of Team Rocket's Mewtwo ex DRI 81 in matchups against other Pokémon ex. For this, we can use the tool Defiance Band sv1 169, which grants an extra 30 damage when you’re behind in the game.
See you next time!
