Introduction
The next Pokémon TCG set, Mega Evolution, has just been announced! It will come out soon and supposedly focus on Mega Evolutions, such as Mega Venusaur ex, which is very promising.
This Pokémon should be quite resilient because it has a lot of HP, but, besides that, it also heals itself with its main attack.
Today, we'll see two decks with this new promising Pokémon and show you how each of them works.
Lists with the New Mega Venusaur ex
Mega Venusaur ex: The Main Attacker

Its ability, Solar Transfer, lets you, during your turn, move as many Basic Grass Energy sv2 278 as you like from one Pokémon to another.
Its main attack, Jungle Dump, deals 240 damage and also heals 30 damage from it.

Energies (10)
10 Basic Grass Energy sv2 278
Yanmega ex: The Main Energy Engine

This card was severely underestimated when it was released in Destined Rivals, but I commented on its potential back when we reviewed the entire set.
We've also mentioned it in our Serperior ex deck tech, which once again shows how efficient Yanmega ex is.
Its ability, Buzzing Boost, lets you, when you move Yanmega ex from your bench to the active spot, get up to 3 Basic Grass Energy sv2 278 from your deck and attach them to it.
Furthermore, its attack, Jet Cyclone, deals 210 base damage and also lets you move these 3 Basic Grass Energy sv2 278 to your Benched Pokémon however you like.
With Yanmega ex, you'll get the energies you need to use Mega Venusaur's attack, which costs (G)(G)(G)(G).
Iron Leaves: A Practical Attacker

Its ability, Rapid Vernier, lets you, when you put this Pokémon on your bench, move it to the active spot immediately. If you do this, you may also move as many energies as you want from your active Pokémon to Iron Leaves ex TEF 25.
It is a practical and efficient attacker for this meta, as it can Knock Out Pokémon like Marnie's Grimmsnarl ex DRI 136, Cynthia's Garchomp ex DRI 104, and Charizard ex sv3 125 because they're weak against this Pokémon type.
Recursive Pokémon

Budew PRE 4's attack prevents your opponent from using Items on the following turn. You can also easily get Budew from your deck with Buddy-Buddy Poffin PRE 101 or Bug Catching Set PRE 102.

►Mew ex sv3pt5 151's Restart ability draws up to 3 cards. In certain situations, it is also an efficient attacker because its attack, Genoma Hacking, only costs 3 colorless energies, so you can easily use it with Yanmega ex DRI 3.
► Fezandipiti ex SFA 38's ability, Flip the Script draws up to 3 cards if one of your Pokémon was Knocked Out on the previous turn. It can also be an attacker occasionally because its attack costs mainly colorless energies.

Energies (12)
12 Basic Grass Energy sv2 278
Teal Mask Ogerpon ex: The Main Energy Engine

Its ability, Teal Dance, lets you, each turn, attach 1 Basic Grass Energy sv2 278 to this Pokémon and draw 2 cards.
You can also stack this effect, so if you have more than one Teal Mask Ogerpon ex PRE 12 in play, you can activate all of them once per turn. Mega Venusaur ex's ability is great with it as well because it lets you move these energies to it.
Iron Leaves: A Practical Attacker

In this deck, Iron Leaves ex is still a powerful Pokémon against meta Pokémon like Marnie's Grimmsnarl ex DRI 136, Cynthia's Garchomp ex DRI 104, and Charizard ex sv3 125.
Cards Both Decks Play

Supporters

These cards will come out in the next set.
- Lillie's Determination shuffles your hand back into your deck and draws 6 new cards. However, if you have exactly 6 Prize cards remaining, you'll draw 8 cards instead of 6.
- Wally's Compassion fully heals one of your Mega Pokémon ex in play. However, when you use it, all the energies attached to it will return to your hand.
Items to Get Mega Pokémon ex

Stadium

This stadium will also come out in the next set, though it was originally part of the "Mega Symphonia" Japanese set.
Its effect is similar to Forest of Giant Plants AOR 74's, which was banned in Expanded. Nonetheless, The Pokémon Company released an errata for it that lets you evolve your Grass Pokémon when you put them in play but can't do this on your first turn (unlike before, which let you do that).
With it, you'll evolve your Pokémon faster, so you can go through Bulbasaur's line without playing Rare Candy or TM: Evolution.
ACE SPEC

In this list, this card will make Mega Venusaur ex even bigger. It originally has 380 HP, but, with this ACE SPEC, it'll gain 100 extra HP, so it will have an impressive 480 HP!
Pros and Cons
Pros
Both the Yanmega ex DRI 3 version and the Teal Mask Ogerpon ex PRE 12 version consistently and efficiently attach energies to Pokémon.
They're also efficient against Marnie's Grimmsnarl ex DRI 136 and Cynthia's Garchomp ex DRI 104 because they're weak against Grass Pokémon.
Finally, they do pretty well against Charizard ex sv3 125 also because it's weak against Grass Pokémon.
Cons
As this deck relies on Bulbasaur's entire evolution line, it also relies a lot on Vitality Forest, Rare Candy PGO 69, and Technical Machine: Evolution sv4 178. So, manage these resources wisely.
It is also not that great against the "151" Charizard ex version because Grass archetypes are weak against Fire archetypes.
Finally, it struggles against Iron Hands ex PRE 31 because it's fast and aggressive. After all, it plays Magneton SSP 59 to get energies, and its attack can completely destroy your Bulbasaur and Ivysaur. This will get them ahead in the Prize cards race.
Raging Bolt ex TEF 123 will also be an issue, particularly if your opponent attaches energies faster than you.
Final Words
This deck will most likely put Grass archetypes back in the meta. It answers the main meta decks, like Marnie's Grimmsnarl ex, Cynthia's Garchomp ex, and Charizard ex really well.
You can play any of these two versions because both should be stable and efficient in competitive settings. It's up to you.
