Introduction

Shrouded Fablelink outside website is finally here! It was released on August 2nd, 2024, so we finally know how much every card in it costs!

For this article, we'll use the American dollar as our reference. Let's go!

Shrouded Fable - Top 10 Most Expensive Cards

10 - Pecharunt ex (Gold Full Art/Hyper Rare - 95/64)

This is the only Pokémon out of the 4 Scarlet/Violet DLC villains that got a Gold Full Art version.

It is a supportive Pokémon because of its ability, Subjugating Chains. Okidogi ex SFA 36 is a good pair for it.

Not to mention, its attack, Irritated Outburst, deals damage according to how many Prize cards your opponent has taken, so it can deal up to 300 damage for just two Darkness energies.

Price: US$15.99.

9 - Powerglass (Gold Full Art/Hyper Rare - 97/64)

This is the only tool in this rarity. Powerglass SFA 97 is great with those Pokémon that force you to discard many energies: at the end of the turn, if the Pokémon this tool is attached to is still your active Pokémon, you can return one energy to it.

It is quite efficient to recycle basic energies, particularly as the current format doesn't have many ways to do that.

Price: US$18.99.

8 - Pecharunt ex (Secret Illustration Rare - 93/64)

Once again we have Pecharunt ex, but in its secret art version. Alongside Okidogi ex SFA 90, Munkidori ex SFA 91, and Fezandipiti ex SFA 92, it forms a unique "mosaic", created by the wonderful artist kantaro.

Price: US$24.78.

7 - Houndoom (Illustration Rare - 66/64)

This card was beautifully illustrated by Taiga Kasai, which won the 2021 Pokémon Trading Card Game Illustration Contest with their Greninja PR-SW SWSH305.

Price: US$26.00.

6 - Munkidori ex (Secret Illustration Rare - 91/64)

Once again, we have a card illustrated by kantaro.

However, this Pokémon itself is support for the Kitakami Trio's Dark Box list, alongside Pecharunt ex. Its ability states that, "if this Pokémon is knocked out by your opponent, and you have at least one Pecharunt ex SFA 39 in play, your opponent takes one Prize card less.

Price: US$27.00.

5 - Persian (Illustration Rare - 78/64)

This Pokémon is popular more because it is nostalgic, as it is one of the original 151 Kanto Pokémon.

It was illustrated by Whisker, which has mastered the art of "oil painting brush strokes". They began to work for the Pokémon Company with Psyduck sv3pt5 175, one of the Illustration Rares in the 151 special set.

Price US$35.70.

4 - Okidogi ex (Secret Illustration Rare - 90/64)

This card was also illustrated by kantaro, and it is a great attacker out of the four villains in this set.

Its first attack lets you search for two Basic Darkness Energy SFA 98 in your deck and attach them to it. But, as a drawback, it makes Okidogi Poisoned.

Price: US$36.00.

3 - Duskull, Dusclops & Dusknoir (Illustration Rare - 68/64| 69/64| 70/64)

In our third place, we have the entire Duskull evolution line, as these cards all show a story, somewhat; a "children's horror story".

They were created by James Turner, responsible for Shadow Lugia's design in Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness.

Here is what they cost: Duskull costs US$20.00, Dusclops costs US$15.50, and Dusknoir costs US$25. In total, that's around US$60.

2 - Fezandipiti ex (Secret Illustration Rare - 92/64)

On our second place, we have another kantaro artwork, one of the Pokémon in the "Kitakami Trio" led by Pecharunt.

It is a recursive Pokémon first and foremost. Its ability, Flip the Script, draws you three cards whenever one of your Pokémon is knocked out.

It is versatile, as you can even use it as your attacker. Just set it up with Janine's Secret Art SFA 59 or the other various ways available in Standard to deal 100 damage.

Price: US$72.00.

1 - Cassiopeia (Secret Illustration Rare - 94/64)

Finally, in our first place, we have the only human card that got a Secret Illustration Rare version, drawn by burari.

It's the first time we see this artist working for the Pokémon Company. In this set, they also illustrated Houndoom SFA 8.

This card will also become more valuable because of Sylveon, in the background.

Price: US104.00.
