Hello everybody. I'm Rodrigo, bringing you news about the Pokémon TCG. At the launch of Scarlet & Violet, there is a predominance of the electric archetype, with decks focused on Miraidon ex sv1 81 which is accompanied by Pokémon such as Regieleki VMAX SIT 58, Raichu V BRS 45 and Raikou V BRS 48.
Even if, for now, the "Fighter" archetype is still "weak", I believe that in the next expansions, mainly in Scarlet & Violet: Paldea Evolved, there will be cards that will strengthen the archetype, making it more dynamic.

For now, let's talk about what can be assembled with Koraidon ex sv1 125 with a defensive strategy and accumulation of energy as a resource for the attack, which is excellent against the electric archetype.
Koraidon ex
Decklist
Koraidon ex: main striker and recursion
Koraidon has two downsides: 1) even if the energization is excellent, it loses turns; 2) his attack, if used, cannot be used again.
And how do you use these drawbacks to help your game plan? The ideal is to discard as many Fighting energies as possible and put at least Hisuian Arcanine V SIT 90 to be the main attacker of the deck and be powered up, or another Koraidon ex sv1 125.
The drawback of the Wild Impact attack can be countered if it is retreated, as per the TCG rule, every time a Pokémon is put back on the Bench, all effects on it are abolished. For this, you will use the Switch Cart ASR 154.
Hisuian Arcanine: alternate attacker
Hisuian Arcanine does the same function that Weavile-GX UNM 132 used to do for dark Pokémon in the Sun& Moon era. With this, he can accumulate as many energies as you want to deal the massive damage needed to take down Regieleki VMAX SIT 58 and even Arceus VSTAR CRZ GG70, due to the weakness of the archetype.
Drapion : Mew Max's "counter"
Drapion V serves to hit double damage on Mew VMAX LOR TG30, due to its weakness to the dark type, with 380 damage.
Galarian Zapdos: Provisional striker that causes paralysis
It is a “single prize” card that can paralyze the opponent, delaying their turn.
In addition, with the discards, it creates a synergy with Koraidon ex sv1 125 with its ability, and even if it loses a turn when using Dino Cry, it already guarantees up to two energies.
Recursive Pokémon
- Radiant Greninja ASR 46 comes in with Concealed Cards, where you discard an energy card from your hand to draw two cards. This makes it easier to discard Fighting Energy to perform Koraidon ex's Dino Cry ability.
- Diancie ASR 68 has Princess's Curtain: If it's in Active Position, it prevents any Supporter card your opponent plays against your Basic Pokémon in play.
- Lumineon V PR-SW SWSH250 has Luminous Sign: If it's played from your hand to your Bench, you can search your Deck for a Supporter Trainer card, reveal it, and put it into your hand.
Trainer Cards
- Professor's Research (Professor Sada) sv1 189 is used to discard your hand and draw 7 new cards.
- Grant ASR 144 is to choose one of two options:
1) On your turn, all of your Fighting-type Pokémon deals 30 more damage against the Active Pokémon.

2) On your turn, if this card (Grant) is in the discard pile, discard two cards from your hand (except Grant). If you do, put that card in your hand.
- Raihan EVS 152 can only be played if your Pokémon was Knocked Out in the previous turn. With that, you attach a basic energy from the discard pile to one of your Pokémon and also search your deck for a card you want and put it in your hand.
- Roxanne ASR 150 is an improved and more destructive "N': if your opponent has 3 prize cards left to win the game, you can play this card. In this, your opponent shuffles their hand and draws only 2 cards, and you shuffle yours into your deck and draw 6 cards.
- Arven sv1 166 allows you to take an Item-type and a Tool-type Trainer card from your deck, reveal them to your opponent, and put them in your hand. And then, shuffle your deck.
- Boss's Orders BRS 132 pulls an opponent's Benched Pokémon into Active Position to close a specific Knockdown.
- Nest Ball sv1 181 is used to search your deck for a basic Pokémon and put it directly on your Bench.
- Ultra Ball BRS 186 is used to search any Pokémon in your deck, at the tribute of requiring two discards from your hand.
- Hisuian Heavy Ball ASR 146 serves to look at prize cards to look for a basic Pokémon. If you find one there, you can catch that Pokémon and put it in your hand and in place of that prize card, replace it with Hisuian Heavy Ball. If not, simply shuffle the order of prize cards and discard the Hisuian Heavy Ball.
- Trekking Shoes ASR 156 looks at the top card of the deck, and you choose whether to keep it or discard it. If you choose the second option, you discard that card and draw the next top card.
- Gutsy Pickaxe ASR 145 serves to look at the top card of the deck: if a Fighting Energy comes, you attach it to one of your Benched Pokémon; otherwise, you can take that top card and put it into your hand, if no fighting energy comes.
- Rock Chestplate sv1 192 reduces 30 damage if equipped on a Fighting-type Pokémon (the reduction is only applied after Weakness and Resistance).
- Switch Cart ASR 154 serves as a Switch for basic Pokémon, where if you play it, you heal the active Pokémon that will be switched by 30 HP.
- Escape Rope BST 125 serves as a type of Pokémon switch between you and your opponent.
You switch one of your Active Pokémon with one of your Benched Pokémon, and your opponent will do the same; however, you initiate this exchange and the opponent will choose their Pokémon in the process.
- Forest Seal Stone SIT 156 can only be equipped to Pokémon V. You can search your deck for any card and put it into your hand.
Stadium
If that stadium is on the field, all of both players' Pokémon that are Water (W) and Fighting (F) types take 20 less damage from attacks (apply damage reduction after Weakness and Resistance).

Archetypes
Advantages
- Perfect against electric archetype decks, such as Regieleki VMAX SIT 58, Raichu V BRS 45 and Raikou V BRS 48.
- It's great for doing double damage with any deck with Pokémon V that has Arceus VSTAR CRZ GG70.
- Excellent for dealing double damage and breaking Oinkologne ex sv1 158's tanker strategy.
Disadvantages
- Psychic archetype decks such as Gardevoir ex sv1 86 and Mew VMAX LOR TG30.
- Decks that have cards like Avery CRE 130, which can destroy your bench
- Decks that have the Path to the Peak CRE 148 stadiums that lock Pokémon abilities with Rule Box.
Conclusions
It's a bit slow deck with a more defensive start, but if it has the right momentum, with the maximum energies on the field put with Koraidon ex, Hisuian Arcanine can cause absurd and brutal damage. It pays off a lot, since in the future, this archetype might have good cards to strengthen it.
Keep an eye on Cards Realm for updates on new expansions and decks!
Until next time.
