Shrouded Fable - Top 10 Best Pokémon + Staple Trainers!

It is a pity this entire evolution line is a bit too slow. Otherwise, I'm sure these Pokémon could have some space in the metagame.

5 - Haxorus

What makes this Pokémon stand out is its first attack, Bring Down the Axe: if the enemy active Pokémon has any special energies attached, they'll be automatically knocked out by this attack!

Furthermore, because Regidrago VSTAR SIT 136 is so strong in the format right now, Haxorus SFA 46 is an excellent option, as you can copy its attack if it is in your discard pile.

4 - Kyurem

This Pokémon is a great "sniper" attacker: its ability, Plasma Bane, states, "if your opponent has any cards in their discard pile that have "Colress" in the name, this Pokémon can use its Trifrost attack for one colorless energy". These "Colress" cards can be either Colress's Tenacity SFA 57 or Colress's Experiment LOR 155.

There are a few Lost Box decks around in the meta right now, and they usually play Colress's Experiment LOR 155, one of its most essential cards. This is perfect for Kyurem, as that's how you'll be able to deal 110 damage to three enemy Pokémon.

Kyurem will eventually replace Radiant Greninja ASR 46. And, obviously, it's also useful for Regidrago VSTAR SIT 136's "Dragon Box" archetype.

3 - Kingdra ex

Moving on to this set's Pokémon ex, we have Kingdra ex SFA 12, which is just all around perfect.

Its first attack is a way to summon, to your bench, Water Pokémon directly from your discard pile (up to three of them), regardless if they are basic or evolution Pokémon.

As for its second attack, it is incredibly powerful. It deals 50 base damage plus 50 damage for each Basic Water Energy sv2 279 attached to Kingdra ex SFA 12. You'll easily get these energies with Baxcalibur PR-SV 19, which is also available in this format.

2 - Okidogi ex

In our second place, we have one of the three villains that serve Pecharunt, Okidogi ex SFA 36. This Pokémon is a great answer against Gardevoir ex sv4pt5 29 decks.

Its first attack, Poisonous Musculature, lets you search for two Basic Darkness Energy SFA 98 and attach them to this Pokémon, but Okidogi will also be "Poisoned" in the process. At first, this may seem bad, but it's not. That's because its second attack, Chain-Crazed, deals more damage if Okidogi ex SFA 36 is Poisoned, namely 260 points in total.

1 - Fezandipiti ex

In our first place, we have this great recursive Pokémon. Its ability, Flip the Script, lets you, whenever one of your Pokémon is knocked out, draw three cards.

Fezandipiti ex SFA 38 uses three energies of any color, so you can easily set it up with Janine's Secret Art SFA 59, as well as some other Standard cards, like

Baxcalibur PR-SV 19's Super Cold ability. For instance, you can use Fezandipiti ex SFA 38 for card advantage in the Water Box archetype.

Pecharunt ex

This Pokémon is better in Dark Box decks because of its attack, which deals 60 damage for each Prize card your opponent took. If they took five cards, you'll deal 300 damage, the most you'll ever deal this way.

However, it is more like a support Pokémon, as its ability, Subjugating Chains, lets you switch one Darkness Pokémon in your bench with your active Pokémon (unless it's another Pecharunt ex SFA 39). As a bonus, this switched Pokémon will be Poisoned, which is excellent for Okidogi ex SFA 36's second attack.

Slither Wing

This is another "Ancient" Pokémon for Baby Ancient Box decks. Its first attack, Iron Smasher, is great to deal with "Future Pokémon", like the fearsome Iron Hands ex sv4 70 and Iron Thorns ex TWM 77.

Supporters

- Cassiopeia SFA 56 lets you search for any two cards in your deck and put them in your hand. But, you can only use this card if it's the last one in your hand.

- Janine's Secret Art SFA 59 will be a great "staple" to set up your Darkness Pokémon with energies, as it lets you pick two of them and attach one Basic Darkness Energy SFA 98 to them.

However, if one of them is your active Pokémon, they'll be Poisoned. Depending on your strategy, this can be an advantage - particularly with Okidogi ex SFA 36.

- Colress's Tenacity SFA 57 lets you search for a Stadium and an energy (keep in mind it doesn't specify which type of energy, so you can get either a basic energy or a special energy). The best thing you can do is wait for your opponent to use this card if you have a Kyurem SFA 47 as your attacker, as you'll be able to deal a lot of damage this way.

- Xerosic's Machinations SFA 64 is extremely strong in control decks, as it sabotages your opponent's cards. It forces them to discard cards until they only have three in their hand.

It will most likely be very popular in control decks like Snorlax PGO 55's.

Tools

- Binding Mochi SFA 55 gives an extra 40 damage to the Pokémon it is attached to, as long as it is "Poisoned".

However, you can also use this on several other "tech Pokémon", like Brute Bonnet sv4 123 with Ancient Booster Energy Capsule TEF 140 to Poison your attacker, like Conkeldurr TWM 105 or even Klawf sv4 105.

- Powerglass SFA 63 is great with Pokémon that force you to discard energies to attack. At the end of the turn, if that Pokémon is still your active Pokémon, you'll be able to return that same energy to it.

Item

This card is the love child of Rescue Stretcher GRI 130 and Energy Recycle System CES 128 (from Expanded), but only their first effect. You get to pick whether you want to recycle one basic energy or a Pokémon from your discard pile.

- Neutralization Zone SFA 60 is a Stadium that prevents all damage dealt to "baby" Pokémon by Pokémon ex and V, which is extremely strong.

However, you'll need to worry about Pokémon that discard Stadiums, like Lugia V SIT 138 and Roaring Moon ex PR-SV 67, besides Lost Vacuum LoR 162. After all, this card's second text box states very clearly that, if it is put in the discard pile in any way, you can never recycle it to your hand or to your deck.

- Poké Vital A SFA 62 is one of the biggest ACE SPEC heals in the entire game, as it heals 150 points.

However, it has a drawback: if you put this card in your discard pile, you can't recycle it in any way, either into your hand or your deck.

And that raises the question: "If I use PokéStop PGO 68, discard the top three cards in my deck, and Poké Vital A SFA 62 is one of them, can I get it?"

The answer is no.
