Pokémon TCG: Top 10 Best Eevee of All Time

In this article, we'll show you the top 10 strongest and most interesting Eevees in the history of Pokémon TCG, considering cards from the Wizards of the Coast era until today. Eevee is one of the most beloved Pokémon in the entire franchise.

10 - Eevee (Sword/Shield: Evolving Skies)

Its first attack is excellent in a setup centered around Pokémon V, and is part of the combo with Adventurer's Discovery FST 224. With this Trainer, you'll look for basic Pokémon V in your deck and put them in your hand. Then, when you use Eevee in your turn and attack, you'll also look for V evolutions in your deck, and put them in your hand. It's a great way to set up your board.

9 - Eevee (Diamond/Pearl: Majestic Dawn)

This Eevee is already one of the strongest Eevee of all time just because of Call of Family: this ability doesn't specify how many Eevee you can put in play with it. This card simply tells you to put as many as you'd like on your bench!

As Pokémon TCG rules clearly state you can only have 4 copies of the same card in play, you should automatically just get 3 Eevees, if you can, and put them on your bench.

Unfortunately, you can't use this card in Expanded, but hold on because we'll talk about this again soon.

8 - Eevee (Black/White: Plasma Freeze)

Its attack, Sign of Evolution, is ideal to set up any "Eeveelution" in your game, "baby" or "GX".

It's perfect to look for Vaporeon AOR 22, Flareon AOR 13, or Jolteon AOR 26.

This Eevee is an upgraded version of Eevee RR 59, from Diamond/Pearl: Rising Rivals.

7 - Eevee (Wizards of the Coast Era: Promo Card)

If you thought Eevee PLF 90 was strong because it got you evolutions from your deck with its attack, take a look at this Eevee. It's even stronger.

Its ability, Chain Reaction, states that, when you evolve any of your Pokémon, you may look for one Eeveelution in your deck, and put it on this Eevee directly. This means this ability goes over the Pokémon TCG rule that states we can only evolve one Pokémon per turn. So, we will skip this step automatically and evolve it to any Eeveelution we want!

Unfortunately, this card isn't available in Expanded.

6 - Eevee (Sun/Moon: Cosmic Eclipse)

Remember the Eevee in our 9th spot? Well, its ability, which looks for as many Eevees as you want in your deck and puts them in play, is back!

And there's a bonus: besides looking for "baby" Eevee, you can also look for Eevee-GX.

Therefore, I can think of a few possibilities:

- If you put Eevee-GX in play, you will be able to, then, after a few turns, put a few of these eeveelutions in play:

- With the GX above, you'll be able to focus on "baby" Eevees and look for these Eeveelutions on the same turn you evolve them: Vaporeon AOR 22, Flareon AOR 13, and Jolteon AOR 26.

If you do so, you'll activate their ability, which states that "stage 1 Pokémon in your game will have the same type as the Eeveelutions on your board. So, a few Eeveelutions*, like Espeon-GX SUM 61, for instance, besides the Psychic type, may also get the Water, Fire, and Electric type, all at the same time!

5 - Eevee (X/Y: Furious Fists)

Its ability is what stands out. This upgraded Eevee from the X/Y block is available in Expanded, and it is easy to evolve with the energy you attach to it. You'll be able to filter your deck and look for the Eeveelution you need for your turn.

4 - Eevee V (Sword/Shield: Promo Card)

In our fourth place, we have this V version of Eevee, which has great attacks. Its first attack draws you three cards, and the second deals 80 base damage + 80 extra damage if you played any Supporter cards in your turn, for just three colorless energies.

3 - Eevee VMax (Sword/Shield: Promo Card)

Next, we have its VMax form, which is interesting in Expanded if you want to play something fun.

Its attack relies on your opponent's "bad luck": "on your opponent's next turn, when they attack, they'll have to flip a coin. If it's tails, that attack doesn't happen".

To try to keep Eevee VMAX PR-SW SWSH087 in play as much as you can, ideally you'll use cards that boost its HP, like Big Charm SSH 158 and Hero's Cape TEF 152. When your opponent is about to knock it out, you can use Cheren's Care BRS 134, Cheryl BST 123, Acerola BUS 112, or Professor Turo's Scenario sv4 171.

If you add Cheryl BST 123 to your list, ideally you'll also add Eevee VMAX PR-SW SWSH087, the Lugia VSTAR SIT 139 + Archeops PR-SW SWSH272 combo, and special energies. You'll eventually lose these special energies because of Cheryl BST 123's effect, but you can recycle them with Special Charge STS 105.

2 - Eevee-GX (Sun/Moon: Promo Card)

In our second place, we have Eevee-GX, which stands out because of its ability. Ascension DNA guarantees GX evolutions for you, and was incredibly powerful in the Sun/Moon era. It was essential in "Eeveelutions" decks, such as the iconic Vaporeon-GX PR-SM SM172, Flareon-GX PR-SM SM171, and Jolteon-GX PR-SM SM173

1 - Eevee & Snorlax TAG TEAM-GX (Sun/Moon: Team Up)

In our first place, we have this team, which became quite strong in Expanded nowadays because of the Lugia VSTAR SIT 139 + 2 Archeops PR-SW SWSH272 combo.

Eevee & Snorlax-GX TEU 120's focus is its second attack, which deals 120 + 120 damage if your opponent's active Pokémon is an evolution Pokémon. It's a total of 240 damage.

Powerful Colorless Energy DAA 176 became a "tech card" in Expanded: it gives an extra 20 damage to the colorless Pokémon that it is attached to. This way, you'll deal an extra 80 damage if you attach four copies of this energy. This is 240 + 80 damage, which is 320 damage with a single blow!

Eevee (Sun/Moon: Promo Card)

In Expanded, this card is perfect for anyone who wants to play "for fun", considering it relies on coin tosses to deal extra damage. Any time you hit heads, you'll deal 30 extra damage, but you have to stop if you hit tails.

To maximize your odds, you have to use Trick Coin PHF 108 and Glimwood Tangle DAA 162. It's also easy to set it up: you can use a Double Colorless Energy GRI 166 or a Twin Energy RCL 209 to pay for its attack.
