Introduction

The 2024 LAIC took place in November in São Paulo, Brazil. At this event, many diverse decks stood out and performed really well in the Masters category in particular.

Among them, Giovanni Sasso, who is known for his journey in the Senior category and has been considered one of the greatest promises from the new generation of players, conquered a spot among the top 32 players with a rogue deck. This type of deck is usually more fun than competitive, and is many times considered an unusual choice for tournaments - they're often even considered "a joke". However, its performance at this tournament definitely caught us by surprise. This list, in particular, included many aggressive cards that are also popular in the meta, like Lugia VStar, Charizard ex, Lightning Box, Regidrago VStar, Raging Bolt ex, and many others. It undoubtedly stood out and made this tournament a bit spicier than usual.

Klawf: Single Prize Attacker

Klawf sv4 105's first attack, Unhinged Scissors, deals 30 base damage plus 160 extra damage if this Pokémon has any "special conditions". To make this work, you'll have to rely on Brute Bonnet sv4 123 as a support Pokémon.

You can only use Brute Bonnet sv4 123's ability, Toxic Powder, if Ancient Booster Energy Capsule sv4 159 is attached to it. This ability, in turn, lets you Poison both active Pokémon (yours and your opponent's)!

To deal even more damage with Unhinged Scissors, you can also use Binding Mochi SFA 55. Its effect states: if your active Pokémon is Poisoned, it deals 40 extra damage!

Hisuian Electrode V: Secondary Attacker

Hisuian Electrode V PR-SW SWSH294's attack, Tantrum Blast, is very similar to Klawf sv4 105's attack, Unhinged Scissors. However, it deals extra damage according to how many special conditions Hisuian Electrode has; more specifically, it deals 100 extra damage per each condition. Brute Bonnet is also great with this Pokémon.

Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex: Endgame Attacker

This Pokémon is similar to Radiant Charizard CRZ 20, which will rotate out of Standard in 2025. Because of its ability, Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex TWM 141 will be the new "endgame" "staple" in many decks.

Seasoned Skill is incredible for the endgame because it discounts the cost of its attack for each Prize card your opponent took. This means that, if your opponent took 4 Prize cards, Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex's main attack will cost four energies less!

► To make this entire deck and its attackers work, you'll need to rely on Brute Bonnet sv4 123, its ability, Toxic Powder, and Ancient Booster Energy Capsule sv4 159. Without this Pokémon and this setup, the entire deck won't work; it is the core of this strategy!

► To deal even more damage through damage counters, you can use Pecharunt PR-SV 149 and its ability, Toxic Subjugation.

Radiant Hisuian Sneasler LOR 123's ability, Poison Peak, lets you put 2 damage counters on your opponent's Poisoned Pokémon, so, with it, you'll deal even more damage.

Iron Bundle sv4 56 works like a "Boss's Orders" in this deck. If it is on your bench, you can force your opponent to swap their active Pokémon with one of their benched Pokémon. However, you'll have to discard Iron Bundle afterward.

Lumineon V BRS 40 will get you any Support card you want from your deck when you use its ability, Luminous Sign.

Fezandipiti ex SFA 38's ability will draw you multiple cards at once. As this deck uses many "Single Prize" Pokémon, it is essential.

Supporter to Filter Items and Tools

This card is great to get Nest Ball sv1 181 or Ultra Ball sv1 196. With them, in turn, you'll be able to develop your main game plan, and get other tools as well.

With this card, one of your priorities is Nest Ball sv1 181. You can play a really nice sequence of cards with those two cards, plus Brute Bonnet sv4 123 and Ancient Booster Energy Capsule sv4 159.

Supporter to Get Stadiums and Energies

Besides getting Artazon sv4pt5 76 for you so you can start setting up your Pokémon, this Supporter gets you any energy you want from your deck. And, as it doesn't state you have to get a basic energy, or a special energy, you can even get special energies with it!

This card is essential to play Timburr, Gurdurr, and Conkeldurr consistently, as well as Brute Bonnet.

Ancient Booster Energy Capsule sv4 159 is essential for Brute Bonnet sv4 123, as we mentioned before. It is the core of this deck, and, without it, attacking with Conkeldurr and dealing a lot of damage will be nearly impossible.

Binding Mochi SFA 55 makes your active Pokémon even more powerful if it is Poisoned.

Supereffective Glasses ASR 152 triples weakness damage.

Rescue Board TEF 159, as its name suggests, is great in emergencies when you need to retreat one of your Pokémon.

► You can equip Forest Seal Stone SIT 156 on Hisuian Electrode V PR-SW SWSH294 and get any card in your deck, thanks to its VStar ability.

Double Turbo Energy ASR 216 is only useful when you use Klawf sv4 105's first attack, Unhinged Scissors. It also forces you to deal 20 less total damage.

Jet Energy SSP 252 is a way to move your Pokémon so you don't have to use Switch Cart ASR 154. You can also use it to push forward when your opponent is "stalling" you.

Matchups

Favorable

- This deck is great against Electric decks because of their weakness to Klawf's Fighting type. This includes decks with Miraidon ex PR-SV 28, Iron Hands ex sv4 70, and Iron Thorns ex TWM 77.

- This deck is great against Charizard ex sv4pt5 54.

Unfavorable

- This deck struggles against Regidrago VSTAR SIT 136 if they also play Kyurem SFA 47.

- This deck struggles against "sniper" decks.

Final Words

It is a relatively cheap build (apart from Fezandipiti ex, Forest Seal Stone, and Hisuian Electrode V, which is a bit in-demand right now). If you enjoy "rogue" decks, and want something aggressive to deal with the current metagame, this deck is perfect for you.
