Today, I bring you a bold proposal with spread damage, that is, to permeate and spread damage counters between Pokémon, bypassing recursive Pokémon with the “Bench Protector” function such as Manaphy BRS 41, Mew UNB 76, Mr. Mime BKT 97 and Mr. Mime PLF 47. Since the damage counter is not considered direct damage, we can exploit this attack pattern.
And with that, let's use Mimikyu VMAX BRS 69 in cooperation with the Espeon & Deoxys-GX UNM 72!

Mimikyu VMax: Main Attacker
There are no mysteries here: our focus is on using the first attack, having played Acerola's Premonition BRS 129 on the same turn to distribute 14 damage counters on the opponent's Pokémon, so a total of 140 damage that will be accumulated, both by Mimikyu VMax and by Espeon & Deoxys-GX UNM 72's GX attack.
Espeon & Deoxys Tag Team-GX: Second Striker
Its first attack is nice because it does a maximum of 160 damage and, even though it's a monotype deck, it helps a lot; but the best of all is its GX attack, which, of course, with 6 energies, we can put up to 20 damage counters on the opponent. If we consider the Mimikyu VMax attacks with the 14 counters, we will have a total of 34 damage counters to be distributed, that is, 340 manipulable damage!
Shadow Rider Calyrex: One of your Pokémon's power-up engines and partial attack
Here it has many advantages in the basic form, as the first attack is an excellent move to have control against the use of special energies and stadiums, previously making it impossible for the opponent to play.
The second attack is to drip some damage that can help in the future to close some knockouts, with these 5 damage counters, which collaborate a lot with how the deck works.
Shadow Rider Calyrex-VMax
Here's an interesting fact: the second attack is focused on being able to hit harder for each psychic energy connected to it, as an alternative attacker, and with that, if there is a need to reach that point, we enter with Gardevoir NXD 57 duplicating basic psychic energies.
That said, assuming there are 8 energies attached to your entire game, for a total of 250 damage (10 + 30 x 8), with Gardevoir NXD 57 ability, those 8 energies become 16, so can do 490 damage in one hit (10 + 30 x 16)!
Good Starting Hands
Be the first to play this hand, because of Ralts and Kirlia in the hand, and follow these steps:
1) Put Shadow Rider Calyrex V CRE 74 in active position, then Ralts SIT 67 on the bench and pass your turn and hope your opponent doesn't make you shuffle your hand with Judge or Marnie.
2) When the second turn arrives, you can already use Adventurer's Discovery FST 224 to search for 3 Pokémon V that you want in the deck, reveal them and put them in your hand, and in that, looking for a Shadow Rider Calyrex V CRE 74 to put in the bench, a Mimikyu V BRS 68 and then the third V can be Shadow Rider Calyrex VMAX CRE 75 or another Mimikyu V BRS 68.
3) You evolve your Ralts SIT 67 and evolve it with Kirlia SIT 68 that is in your hand, using its ability to be able to discard a card from your hand and draw 2 more, if you evolved your active Shadow Rider Calyrex V CRE 74 to Shadow Rider Calyrex VMAX CRE 75, you can use its ability, Underworld Door, to energize Mimikyu V BRS 68 from your bench and draw 2 more cards. Pass the turn.
4) Next turn, with Mysterious Treasure FLI 113, can discard Acerola's Premonition BRS 129 to search for Tapu Lele-GX GRI 60, activate its ability to search for a Supporter and search for the card Professor's Research SHF 60 to better filter your deck and draw 7 cards.
- Kirlia SIT 68 comes in because of Refinement, which means that by discarding a card from your hand, you draw two cards.
- Gardevoir CRE 61 has Shining Arcana, which makes it look at the top two cards of the deck and if there are basic Energy on that top, you can attach it to your Pokémon any way you want, but also if there are no energies, the cards seen on top go to your hand anyway.
- Gardevoir NXD 57 has Psychic Mirage, which makes your Psychic energies to provide two (P) energies instead of one. This helps maximize the amount of energy in your deck, which is 12 basic energies, and now virtually 24.
- Tapu Lele-GX CEL 60 has the Ability Wonder Tag, searching your Deck for a Supporter card and putting it into your hand.
In addition to being a good support, it can previously be an attacker with his Energy Drive attack. It's pretty useful, considering this Pokémon has no weakness
- Marnie SSH 169 serves to shuffle the hands of the respective players to the bottom of the deck. The opponent only draws 4 cards from the top of the deck, and you draw 5.
- Adventurer's Discovery FST 224 is used to search your deck for 3 Pokémon V and put them in your hand.
- Peonia CRE 149 serves to take 3 prize cards and put them in your hand and after that, you put 3 cards from your hand to replace them.
- Acerola's Premonition BRS 129 makes the opponent to reveal their hand to you. You draw additional cards for each Trainer card in your opponent's hand.
- Roxanne ASR 150 is an improved and more destructive N NVI 92: if the opponent has 3 prize cards left to win the game, you can play this card. Then your opponent shuffles their hand and draws only 2 cards, and you shuffle yours into your deck, and draw 6 cards.
- Fog Crystal CRE 140 searches for a Psychic-type Basic Pokémon or Psychic Basic Energy from the deck and puts it into your hand.
- Mysterious Treasure FLI 113 is an Item that you discard a card from your hand to fulfill the card's Tribute: You search for a Dragon or Psychic Pokémon from your deck and put it into your hand.
Here, your search is for Psychic Pokémon.
- Trainers' Mail ROS 92 is an Item that serves to look at the top 4 cards of your deck and look for any Trainer-type card (be it supporter, item, tool, stadium), putting them in your hand. The rest are returned to the top of the deck and shuffled together.
- Float Stone PLF 99 grants free retreat cost to the Pokémon it's attached to.
- Computer Search BCR 137 is an ACE SPEC (a special card that can only have one copy of the ACE SPEC type in the deck as a whole), where you discard two cards from your hand to search any card you want in your deck and put it in your hand.
During each player's turn, you may take a basic energy from the discard pile and put it into your hand.
It is precisely this rescue of psychic energies that needs to be combined with Shadow Rider Calyrex VMAX CRE 75, Underworld Door, in order to power up your Benched Pokémon.
It is a deck with the purpose of having “spread” damage, that is, spreading and branching out these counters as much as possible, to make multiple knockouts.
Against “single prize” Pokémon, the so-called “baby”, it is easier to win the match quickly, but against VMax Pokémon it can be complicated because of its high HP margin, around 300 HP to 340 HP. But there are some ultra-rare recursive ones like Eldegoss V RCL 19, Crobat V DAA 104, Lumineon V BRS 40, Genesect V FST 185 (this considering Pokémon V), not to mention other Expanded cards like Jirachi-EX PLB 60, Tapu Lele-GX GRI 60, whic are easy targets for multiple prize draws.
- Deck with Path to the Peak CRE 148 can disrupt Shadow Rider Calyrex VMAX CRE 75 with the use of Underworld Door, always needing to break with the stadium Training Court RCL 169.
- Deck with dark archetype to apply weakness, doubling their damage.
- Tanker deck that constantly heals and can replenish energy to hit fast, like Blissey V CRE 119, Togekiss VMAX VIV 141 or Dracozolt VMAX EVS 59.
Our deck is quite slow to assemble, and perhaps this can frustrate us in some games or if we have Pokémon that negate damage marking effects.
Our deck is a puzzle, which needs to create a combo, little by little, assembling resources right at the beginning of the game, even at a slightly slow pace. But with all Pokémon properly assembled and with a good power up to Mimikyu VMax and guaranteed GX attack from Espeon & Deoxys Tag Team-GX, the damage will be overwhelming.
