Introduction
Greetings!
In today's article, we'll discuss the Crustle DRI 12 list Ermar Tresp used to get second place at the Praga Regional on April 25th, 2026. This list is an efficient answer to the meta because it disables the Pokémon ex that see play in Standard nowadays, including stage 1 and stage 2 Pokémon and Mega Pokémon ex.
This regional tournament kickstarted the new Pokémon TCG tournament season now that this year's rotation is valid. It's a great starting point for us, and we can definitely take a look at the lists that performed well in this tournament to predict what the next few months will be like.
That being said, let's see today's list.

Deck Structure
Crustle: Main Attacker

Its ability, Mysterious Rock Inn, is what makes this deck stand out. It prevents Pokémon ex from dealing damage to Crustle itself.
This means all the Pokémon ex in Standard can't deal damage to Crustle.
Nonetheless, please note that damage is different from effects. This ability prevents damage, but effects like special conditions can still affect this Pokémon.
One Pokémon ex that can deal with Crustle DRI 12 is Mega Lopunny ex PFL 84. Its attack, Spiky Hopper, ignores Pokémon abilities, so it can go through.
Cornerstone Mask Ogerpon ex: Alternative Attacker

This Pokémon stands out because of its ability, Cornerstone Stance. It makes it immune to enemy Pokémon that have abilities, so it won't take damage from them. Like so, your opponent will also have to play other Pokémon to deal with Cornerstone Mask Ogerpon ex, particularly Pokémon that don't have abilities.
Furthermore, its main attack, Demolish, ignores weaknesses, resistances, and any effects on the opponent's active Pokémon.
Mega Kangaskhan ex

This Pokémon will be useful because of its ability, Run Errand: if it is your active Pokémon, you may draw 2 cards once per turn.
You can also use its attacks, but you probably won't have to.
Trainers
Supporters

Lillie's Determination MEG 119 lets you shuffle your hand back into your deck and get 6 new cards. If you have exactly 6 Prize cards left, you'll draw 8 cards instead of 6.

Xerosic's Machinations SFA 64 will disrupt the opponent's hand, as it will force them to discard all but 3 cards.

Pokémon Center Lady MEG 123 heals Pokémon and removes all special conditions on them.

Colress's Tenacity SFA 57 lets you get 1 Stadium and 1 energy (basic or special) from your deck.
Hilda WHT 84 lets you get 1 evolution Pokémon and 1 energy (basic or special) from your deck.
Team Rocket's Petrel DRI 176 lets you get any Trainer from your deck, including Supporters, Items, Stadiums, and Tools.

Boss's Orders MEG 114 pulls enemy Pokémon to the active spot. You should use it to knock out any problematic Pokémon on their bench.
Items to Get Pokémon

Ultra Ball MEG 131 lets you get any Pokémon from your deck as long as you discard 2 cards from your hand.
Buddy-Buddy Poffin TEF 144 lets you get 2 basic Pokémon with up to 70 HP from your deck and put them on your bench.
Poké Pad POR 81 lets you get a baby Pokémon from your deck, that is, Pokémon that don't have a rule box.

Pokégear 3.0 lets you look at the top 7 cards in your deck and get a Supporter you find there.

Super Potion JTG 158 heals a Pokémon by 60 HP if you discard 1 energy attached to it.
Jumbo Ice Cream PFL 91 heals your active Pokémon by 80 HP if it has 3 or more energies attached.
It's one of the most important cards in this list because it makes Crustle DRI 12 a lot more resilient. With these cards, you'll be able to sustain a lot of damage with Crustle, particularly if you also play Hero's Cape TEF 152 and the special Grass energies.
Stadiums

Team Rocket's Factory DRI 173 lets you draw 2 extra cards per turn if you also play a Team Rocket Trainer that turn.
Forest of Vitality MEG 117 lets you evolve Grass Pokémon faster. With it in play, you can evolve a basic Pokémon on the same turn you put it in play (except on your and your opponent's very first turns).
ACE SPEC

This Tool grants the Pokémon it is attached to 100 extra HP.
If you play it on Crustle DRI 12, it will have 250 HP instead of 150, and that's not counting your special Grass energies.
Special Energies

Mist Energy TEF 161 stops enemy attack effects.
Crustle DRI 12's ability already protects it from damage, so, if you play this energy as well, you'll protect its other main weakness and prevent effects like special conditions. It will be even harder to deal with.
If you play Spiky Energy JTG 159 on your active Pokémon, the opponent's active Pokémon will get 2 damage counters whenever they attack your Pokémon, even if they manage to knock it out.
It's a sort of counter-attack.

Growing Grass Energy POR 86 gives 20 extra HP to the Grass Pokémon it is attached to.
It is essential for Crustle DRI 12 because it makes it even more resilient. If you play 4 of them on Crustle, it will have 80 extra HP.
Rocky Fighting Energy POR 87 protects the Pokémon it is attached to from enemy attack effects.
It's more useful on Cornerstone Mask Ogerpon ex TWM 112.
Final Words
This is a great budget list. It's extremely simple and efficient, yet it performed well in a high-level tournament. Many players underestimated it, but, when played well, it's clear it can be quite powerful.
It could have won the Praga regional. Check out the finals below:
