Two days ago, The Pokémon Company officially revealed the upcoming special expansion that many fans have been eagerly anticipating: the Pokémon 30th Anniversary set!

Some leaks featuring artwork of Mewtwo ex and Mew ex surfaced a while ago, around mid-November 2025. However, the details were quite vague and speculative at the time, as only those two cards had been leaked.

Following Pokémon's official announcement, the rumors were confirmed. These cards, officially called Futuristic Pokémon ex, are indeed authentic parts of the set and were illustrated by the famous Japanese artist YOSHIROTTEN.

He is highly renowned for his striking use of color gradients and metallic figures in his artwork.

Release Date

In a franchise first, this will be a GLOBAL release, scheduled for September 16, 2026.

These cards will feature a special 30th anniversary Pikachu stamp, similar to the one used in Celebrations. Based on the released promotional images and current community theories, the card designs will play with a day and night theme.
